For the last 3 years, my health has become very important to me, as I suffered a mild heart attack 7 years ago. It took me a while to get to the point where I didn’t want to be a statistic or be on medication for the rest of my life. Since then I have had a wearable, to track my heart rate, my exercise routine and just my everyday health. LifeQ has taken wearable watches to a new level of tracking your heart rate, fitness, sleep, and general activity. When I contracted Covid-19, my wearable sent out a warning signal that everything wasn’t quite right, as my heart rate and sleep pattern changed from my normal everyday average levels. My test result came back positive and if it wasn’t for the early warning given, I would have put my own life at risk as well everyone I came into contact with.
I’d just like to thank you for being our leader and for driving our company the way that you do. I feel privileged to be back with my LifeQ team and I couldn’t be happier and more content as a person. Something that I’d like to give you some feedback on: I am bowled over at your involvement with the team and each of the projects. I feel truly inspired when I am sitting in a Zoom meeting with you - both internal and external meetings - and it makes me motivated to work even harder. Thank you Laurie, it's really rare to have a CEO so involved. I’m very proud of everything that has been achieved and I look forward to an even more successful and rewarding year.
My general health has always been something that I have been acutely aware of as I suffer from type II diabetes and need insulin to control my blood sugar levels. I exercise regularly and have been consistently active through the years, but when my heart rate started to spike with very low levels of physical exertion, as evidenced by the data for the exercise sessions with my wearable tracker, I knew that something was up. After seeing my cardiologist, my heart was imaged and this revealed a narrowed coronary artery that had to be stented. I had the procedure done without hesitation and I am back to my old self, even getting back into mountain and trail biking and keeping a watchful eye on my wearable and lifestyle factors under my control.
